OpenOffice can be used to author templates, as long as the template is saved in the correct format (i.e. Word 2003 XML, or, in the next release of XpressDox, .docx format). Those templates could then be uploaded to the XpressDox web server and run from there. Unfortunately, none of the authoring tools are available in Open Office.

I have 64 bit windows and 32 bit Word 2010. None of the .exe files seem to get the program into Word 2010 as a pull-down menu. Please advise.

It's a valid question. The issue is that XpressDox is written in C# - using the Microsoft .NET framework. If there was an implementation of the .NET framework on the Mac, then porting XpressDox in that direction would be fairly straightforward. There IS Mono, which might be the answer, but that is going to take some research, as I am sure, much as the authors have tried, Mono will not be completely compatible with .NET. But don't despair, we will be looking into it.

Too bad it's not MAC compatible. I was excited about it 'till I realized it's PC only. When are developers going to realize that Mac is a viable platform, too?

Hi Musa, if you could let me have examples of the documents you require, I could let you know what's involved in creating templates of them.

Regards
